Color and fun for your home.  When Beat Collection suggested that I illustrate a chair, I sat down and started to think. The brief was clear: Do whatever you want! Have fun! I thought about it from different angles and drew dozens of sketches until I came up with some designs that I thought were good. So I decided to run these by the rigorous analytical eyes of my two young daughters… Claudia and Laia have a small wooden table with two chairs. We bought them in natural wood, painted them together as a family and then the girls personalised them in their own special way by using stickers, wax daubs, paper tape and magazine clippings… They’re fun, lots of fun. Lots of fun... That same Saturday in Barceloneta, the spring sun was gently caressing us while some rilled baby octopus and patatas bravas were staring at us as if to say “eat us!” A spicy bomba and some pickled boquerones were smiling seductively at us and a bright red napkin was contemplating the scene in a condescending manner. There was an empty old brown chair left at the table. It looked sad with nobody there to use it. -Daddy, that chair’s boring... -Very boring... Something had to be done about it.
